Because I am forever dieting (and failing - haha), I bought this red rice because as they say, this is healthier than white rice. Hmmm... I feel like cooking tinola or monggo tomorrow. Or maybe adobong bangus?

Day 55

I gatecrashed Wow Meganon's taping (again!) today. And after a great dinner that the staff teased me I didn't deserve (haha), I settled in the lounge's couch and watched this old movie of Jack Lemmon. It's called The Apartment and Jack won an Oscar for this movie. Also in this movie is Shirley MacLaine

Postbay 01 is looking great huh :-) that's our segment editor, Ryan and segment producer, Jessica. This day, we mastered Wow Meganon at about 2pm. Himala! I wish laging ganun.

Day 53

DUI. hahahaha!

When I went to watch "Vanishing on 7th Street" in Trinoma, this booth was there. So I asked this guy (whose girlfriend also took his picture there) to take my pic using just my iTouch. He obliged. I thanked him and went my way. Inside the movie house, I slept after 30 minutes into the movie. What a waste of time.  This pic is the most fun I had that evening.

Day 52

View from the roofdeck of TV5. That's SM Novaliches. Took this about 8am, when I went outside to sun myself because it was soooo cold inside the editing bays.

Me thinks this is the only SM branch that's not too crowded. I like it but I betcha Henry Sy doesn't.

Day 51

My niece's friend gave her these when he came back from Taiwan. Pineapple cake is what he calls it. I've had a piece. I didn't repeat the experience. Haha. :-)

Day 50

Marvin had been wanting to eat here at A Veneto Pizzeria Ristorante in Visayas Avenue this week. Finally, we did last night. A welcome treat after a 24-hour work day.

This pasta was not my order but it sure is good - with white sauce mushroom and breaded chicken. Thanks Marvin!

Day 49

Rotoscope.

Started doing it in After Effects but it didn't look good. So I had to export the clip as a Targa sequence ; in this case this clip of John Estrada whose back is to the camera. That's the video I have to overlay over another video showing the same John with the rest of the Hapi Together cast.

Since they didn't shoot the foreground video on green screen, I have to mask the clip frame by frame so I can overlay it to background clip. In video, there are 30 frames per second. As per my edit, I have to rotoscope about 8 secs - that's 240 frames. I did the masking in Photoshop and put in an alpha channel, then import it to After Effects and then render the final movie.

Final clip is okay, but I could have done it better, given more time. :-)

Lesson learned: better to do rotoscoping with a tablet and pen :-) AND - mas malinis mag mask sa Photoshop. Also, I have to practice my Photoshop and After Effects skills. Getting rusty.

Hapi Together airs on Tuesday after Babaeng Hampaslupa on TV5.

Apple's sleek magic mouse. :-) Bought it for editing since the wired mouse of our editing bay is not working as it used to. It's more than 2 years old now. Next Macbook Pro.

After watching "127 Hours", I stopped by the taping of Wow Meganon in Makati. The studio is
just at the back of Shopwise in Vito Cruz, which translates to just one tricycle ride to our house if I choose to go home that way. :-) But I took a cab home. Just paid Php50.00.
